Spirit Class Ships - In 2001, Carnival introduced the Spirit Class. This class of ship was designed to be a "mid-size" class of ship, catering to those that liked balcony availability, but didn't want to share with 3400 people. So the Spirit Class introduced ships that are 25% larger than the Fantasy Class ships, but smaller than the two previous generations of "Fun Ships". It decreased the number of Oceanview and Inside cabins by almost 50% and at the same time increased the number of balcony cabins by almost 20%. Spirit Class ships typically sail 7+ day itineraries. Here are the stats for each ship and you can click on the ship's logo for each ship's deck plan.
